Grow Buckets

What Is a Grow Bucket?
HydroHarvest’s grow buckets are simple, low-maintenance hydroponic systems designed to help families grow fresh produce at home. Each bucket is made from recycled, food-grade containers sourced from local restaurants and bakeries, helping reduce plastic waste while supporting sustainability.
Hydroponics is the practice of growing plants in nutrient-rich water rather than soil. Compared to traditional agriculture, hydroponics grows more food with less water and can produce food year-round.
Our systems use a special type of hydroponics that only needs to be filled with water once! As your plants grow, the water level in the bucket will naturally decrease - this is normal. The air pocket that forms provides the roots with vital oxygen, allowing your plants to thrive with minimal effort.

Each HydroHarvest grow bucket kit includes everything you need to get started:
Hydroponic bucket system – the reservoir where your plants grow.
Plant seedlings – lettuce, basil, cilantro, dill, and kale.
Clay pellets – these surround the plant roots and prevent algae growth by blocking sunlight from reaching the water.
Powder fertilizer – provides nutrients your plants need to grow.
Instruction brochure – explains how to set up and maintain your system
